What is Block Trade?

Block Trade meaning (1) A large transaction that is negotiated off an exchange’s centralized trading facility and then executed on the trading facility, as permitted under exchange rules. (2) A large notional swap transaction that is exempt from real-time reportingrequirements but must be reported to swap data repositories on a delayed basis.
