What is Outline ?

Outline is (noun) 1. a line showing the outer edge of something He drew the outline of a car on the paper. 2. a broad description without giving much detail She gave the meeting an outline of her proposals. I don’t have much time just give me the outline of the story. (verb) to make a broad description of a plan, etc. He outlined the plan to the bank manager. She outlined her proposals to the meeting. (adj) as a broad description, without any details The outline proposal was rejected. The council gave outline planning permission for a new house.
