What is Ward?

Ward is (noun) 1. a room or set of rooms in a hospital, with beds for patients The children’s ward is at the end of the corridor. She was taken into the accident and emergency ward. 2. one of the areas that a town is divided into for purposes of local government 3. a young person protected by a guardian or a court ward of court young child who is under the protection of the High Court The High Court declared the girl a ward of court.
