TWO-MINUTE DRILL

What is TWO-MINUTE DRILL?

TWO-MINUTE DRILL meaning hurry-up offense in which the offense tries to stop the clock at the end of as many plays as possible; so-called because it is often used at the end of a half; different from a hurry-up offense in that stopping the clock is a lower priority in a hurry-up (see the hurry-up chapter of my book Football Clock Management for far more detail)
