Dredge

What is Dredge ?

Dredge is (verb) 1. to remove dirt or sand from the bottom of a river or lake They had to spend weeks dredging the channel so that boats can still get to the harbour. 2. to cover something with a substance such as sugar or flour When the pie is cooked, dredge it with icing sugar.
