What is Honour ?

Honour is (noun) 1. the practice of acting according to what you think is right He’s a man of honour. 2. a sign of respect It is an honour for me to be invited here today. 3. Your Honour a way of addressing a judge (verb) 1. to respect or pay respect to someone to honour the dead 2. to give someone an award as a mark of respect He was honoured by the university. 3. to do what you promised He honoured the agreement and gave the staff a pay rise. 4. to honour a cheque (of a bank) to pay the sum written on the cheque (NOTE: [all senses] The US spelling is honor.)
