What is Cerebrum?

Cerebrum meaning The cerebrum is supratentorial (above the tentorium), and is located in the anterior portion of the forebrain. It is divided into two hemispheres. The cerebrum determines intelligence, personality, interpretation of sensory impulses, motor function, planning and organization, and touch sensation.The cerebrum is composed of many important structures such as central white matter, cerebral cortex, cerebral hemisphere, cerebral white matter, corpus striatum, globus pallidus, hypothalamus, insula, internal capsule, island of Reil, operculum, pallium, putamen, Rhinencephalon, supratentorial brain, thalamus, etc.The cerebrum is divided into lobes designated as frontal, temporal, parietal and occipital.
