What is Apostrophe ?

Apostrophe is (noun) a printing sign (‘), either showing that a letter has been left out or to show possession COMMENT: An apostrophe either shows that a letter has been left out (weren’t) or is used with ‘s’ to show possession: before an ‘s’ with singular words, after the ‘s’ with plural words (a boy’s coat, the girls’ team).
